Computer as a new aid in education of blind students |

Abstract Blind persons encounter numerous problems in education process. As printed materials are not easily accessible to blind persons, they can't read books and manuals used in schools and universities. The situation is similar with written exams and seminars. Today, however, many of these problems are solved through computer usage. Computers give blind people possibility to type texts just like a sighted person. They can easily present written materials to their colleagues and professors. Through computers blind persons can also communicate and retrieve information through Internet. |
