How to Grade (Assign Points to) Students |
|
Points
E-tests consisting of MCQ are often evaluated traditionally i.e. with points system. "Luck" in guessing the answers or level of confidence in the chosen answer is not taken into consideration. However, online automatic analysis allows additional, more advanced ways of awarding points.
Traditional Evaluation - is most often conducted according to the rule "1 point for one correct answer". The downside of this method is that not only knowledge but also guessing, which can be easily determined by statistic probability methods, is awarded points.
Additional Capacities of E-tests
E-tests make it possible to easily deliver a different version of the test to each student. Not only is the order of questions changed, but also the order of offered answers within each question. It makes permanent interactivity in the sense of immediate feedback possible, which in turn enables the students to, for example, try to answer again the question which they answered incorrectly.
