Upon submitting the project application, the amount allotted by EC can vary considerably. It depends on the type of the project, number of partners involved, as well as the project's overall objectives.

Once that the FP has been approved by the Council and the Parliament, EC is responsible for its implementation. There are no "national quotas" for FP funds.

Other principles:

• EU will only finance projects involving several partners from different countries (minimum 3 partners from different countries 2+1), Croatia being the 4th partner
• FP funds are allotted after calls for proposals
