Tempus III programme

The purpose of Tempus is the development of higher education systems in the so-called Partner Countries, through the advancement of cooperation between universities based in the countries in the region with those in the European Union.
The programme is implemented within the European Union's PHARE programme.
TEMPUS encourages institutions to cooperate, helps introduce new subjects, helps restructure institutions, promotes high achievements, makes possible the acquisition of equipment and technical support.

What is Tempus?
- Tempus is one of the European Commission's numerous programmes designed to help the 18-partner group in the process of social and economic reform.
- Tempus is oriented towards a higher education development through the highest possible level of cooperation between EU and the Partner Countries.
- Tempus finances higher education cooperation projects.
