Education Support Program - ESP	One of ESP's main goals is to accelerate the process of reforming the education system via financing Soros Foundation projects of educational policies democratisation in individual countries, financing NGO and educational institutions' projects, as well as by proposing various models of educational reform.
Open Society Institute Croatia	It was established in 1992 in order to assist the democratic development of Croatian society. In 2000, a Letter of cooperation between OSI Croatia and Croatian Government was signed, which established the cooperation in the areas of educational and cultural policy, small and medium enterprise development as well as decentralisation of public administration. One of the highly successful programmes of the Institute is CEPOR. This was the first think-tank in Croatia to deal with SME issues.
SIC - International educational centre	SIC centre is a non-profit public association focusing on promoting the human right to education. Its main goals are informing, counselling, education and international exchange programmes. Since 2001, SIC has acted as an administrative centre for OSI-C fellowship programmes and CEU (Central European University) fellowship programmes.

Only the programmes of Soros Foundation of particular interest to educational and scientific research institutions in Croatia are listed here. Soros Foundation programmes are intended for developing those segments of society which need the most urgent attention within the transformation of a closed society into an open society. In other words, these programmes involve: economic growth, human rights, education, public administration, public health, law and justice, media and culture, children and youth, and women's rights.
