phpBB is a forum-serving program. It is developed in PHP programming language. It can be installed on a computer containing a previous installation of PHP 4.0.3 (or higher) web server and one of the database management systems (MySQL (3.22 or higher), PostgreSQL 7.0.3 or higher (we recommend 7.1.x or 7.2.x), MS SQL Server (7 or 2000) directly or through ODBC, MS Access (2000 or XP) through ODBC). Documentation contains a description of all the necessary actions for the installation and setting of a chosen DBMS. The whole procedure can be finished in 20-30 minutes. Administration of the forum offers many possibilities.
