Web materials related to laboratory can be divided into two main groups.   The first group includes the materials written in the form of instructions for lab exercise performance.    The instructions are intended for the use in a classical laboratory, and there is no virtual laboratory.

This form is used for laboratory exercises at e.g. Građevinski fakultet (Faculty of Civil Engineering), Fakultetu prometnih znanosti (Faculty of Transport Sciences), and Biološkom odsjeku PMF-a (Department of Biology at the Faculty of Science). Unlike classical instructions, these can be enriched with animations (which is the case of the e-school pages).

 

The other group consists of virtual laboratories in which experiments are replaced with animated images with the possibility to change entry parameters. Virtual laboratories can be created in different sciences like mathematics, physics, biology or chemistry.
