Scientific and teaching materials which are used in universities are related to curriculum of a specific course. In Croatia every university and polytechnic proscribes the procedure for categorization and approval of instructional literature. |
At the University of Zagreb a manuscript is given the status and categorization of university instructional literature by the decision of the University Senate, based on the opinion of the university Commission for Scientific and Instructional Literature.
Materials are usually divided into textbooks, mimeographed course materials and materials for further study. Materials for further study can consist of different materials such as monographs, scientific monographs, problem texts, reference books, problem books, technical books, and such materials are not necessarily approved by the university Commission for Scientific and Instructional Literature.
The following materials are approved by the University of Zagreb Commission as university textbooks: textbooks, mimeographed course materials, problem books and reference books.
