Resolution – The sharpness of the picture on the screen, determined by the number of pixels that make up the picture.

Remote login – Option which allows the user to join in on a remote computer through the computer which they are using at the time.

Resource – A group of information obtained through the Internet. It can be anything from a picture to a video or a program.

RTF – Rich Text Format. File format which does not only contain text, but also some characteristics of the text formatting. 

Raster – Monochromatic pattern which consists of tiny elements (dots, squares, lines) which can fool a human eye and give us an illusion of several shades of that colour. We see the elements which are more spread apart as a lighter shade of the colour.

Raster graphics – Method of developing and saving an image as a large number of squares (dots, pixels) distributed into rows and columns (grid). When enlarging or decreasing the size of such an image, the picture quality worsens.
